If Yang got taken, that means the others must have been too. So she searches amongst the broken down hulks to find any sign of the rest of Team RWBY, her uncle, Oscar, or Maria. She doesn't take as much care as perhaps she should, which is probably why she ended up looking down the business end of a lance when she takes Hulkenberg by surprise.
"Whoa! Hey! We're cool. I'm just trying to find my friends." She holds her hands up, one metal, one with a bracelet around her wrist. A bracelet that can easily be deployed into a gun-gauntlet if need be, but...honestly, that would take time Yang doesn't want to waste.
