[It gets pulled alright, as soon as Akihiko pushes the barrel to his temple. The ease of his motions suggests he's done this for a long time; enough that it's entirely by reflex. His head doesn't even flinch that much as he pulls the trigger, and phantasmal blue shards break from the gun and his head.

He doesn't drop, though; there's the faintest shimmer of something hovering over him, and somehow it makes Akihiko stand up just a bit straighter. That wound along his head starts to heal over and patch up, wiping away the worst of the blood. Leaving him with just a smear of red...

...And still that weird ear sprouting out. Akihiko grimaces as the summon fades away, and runs his hand along his head, feeling out the change still there.]

"Damn. Was hoping it'd fix everything, not just the wound."
