Reaching around, Waver turned the ignition and nudged the Volkswagen awake with a grumble. The engine hummed steadily, with no obvious issues that Waver could hear, and he smiled with grim satisfaction. The surreality of being in an American style vehicle matched the surreality of the situation -- but, they had the tools that they could work with.

"Ok, can you shift it into gear so we can take that thing down?"

He requested, gently pressing down on the brake while he spoke. The lights flickered on with a flip of the switch, and the darkness before them was swept away with a satisfying glow.
