[Serph does note his companion approaching, acknowledging Shadow's presence with a nod; he appreciates the back-up in addition to the prior warnings.
As he draws nearer to the husk, the high-pitched whine turns into cries of pain. Listening closely, he can hear his own voice, raised, What happened five years ago!? and the shaking, panicked response, ...You mean you don't know!? Don't you remember your colleague?
Serph's expression flattens but he presses on, even when the surrounding husks' start reflecting one of the last things that happened before his arrival: a red-headed man in similar garb to himself running towards him, arm transformed into a clawed fist.
None of that stops Serph from reaching for the keys and prising them from the husk's hands. But he backs away faster than he otherwise would have -- he'll never know the answers now -- keys clutched tightly in his hand. He feels like fingers had been rifling through his skull, nails scraping over his brain before digging into it, and he can't help but shake his head to try and get that sensation out.]
I'm fine.
[Though he's not sure if he's saying it for his companion's sake or his own. Don't worry about it. Nothing to see here.]
