Shadow catches that look from Leo, and he frowns and folds his arms in the face of it. He's almost certain that at least some turtles are herbivores.

But that ends up being the least interesting thing that Leo says.

"A mutant—not an alien?"

Shadow is still stuck assuming they're on earth, even if he thinks some time has passed. He's never heard of any creatures like him—or even any creatures somewhat like him—of being anything except extraterrestrial in origin.
