Vincent begins to turn away. Such is part of his nature to simply end a conversation and move on, particularly when there's a need to move with haste. There's no fear or irritation; it's recognized that he shouldn't hold up the giant dragon if there's still something he can do to save people from the fallout.
...And moving with haste is not fleeing. It's merely because they did get close enough to talk and Stone will clearly need some room to get back to size. Vincent would rather not be around to find out how much room.
