Most vehicles are not made to handle tornados. Or buildings. If a window shatters, of course the storm gets in, he's observed that plenty even without tornados being involved. "With what we have access to?"

Unlikely. They still won't be prepared for more tornados, and he's reasonably sure most of those take place in the springtime. They're going into a season for it, not out of season. The issue of future monstering is put aside, there's more pressing things to think about, like having to leave shelter again in order to reach the driver's side so they can get back.
