"We are. We want to know where we are going as much as anyone would," Jack agrees, nodding. "There is not a lot to be found. The runes." He gestures at the one on his own forearm, pulling his sleeve up to show it. "They are in other places, too. And they can be combined, but doing to hurts whoever does it? And attracts more monsters. There are the radio broadcasts, and sometimes things written down in places that we can still read like the graffiti, and what we learn from our own changes."

He shrugs helplessly. "It is not enough. But we have only been here about two months. Hopefully there will be more we can learn along the way."
