[ There are two kinds of healers. ] Yeah? I went into it because I wanted to help people. Ends up sometimes it's better to help people by stopping the things that are hurting them. [ Talking to Arcade, reminiscing about his first assignment as a med-tech, it makes Kaidan miss the more benevolent side of fighting. Battlefield medicine is no less gruesome, but at least no one's shooting at each other. Usually. The ammo is kept strictly verbal, like right now. ]

Okay. If you're not worried about it, then neither am I—unless this thing goes crazy. [ He taps the omni-tool as if it owes him money, then gets back to removing the remaining lug nuts, shimming off the massive wheel more easily than it should be possible.

(Mass effect field applied. If Arcade noticed the glow intensify, Kaidan will not confirm. Best not to bring attention to it.) ]
Once landed in a planet whose atmosphere was, oh, a cool 50 grays per second. The system's star was spewing radiation like you wouldn't believe. If it wasn't for our armor we would've cooked via ARS in about a minute. [ It's Kaidan's turn to complain. And yap. ] Hate Level 2 EVA Hazards. One wrong move and you're toast. [ Now for the working wheel. It practically floats into place. Kaidan bends over to make sure that 'click' wasn't a dud, then gets back to screwing the lug nuts back on. ] That's what the Mako gets used for—planet-side missions. A full crew of six can survive for about a month inside this thing. Not that I'd recommend it. It's...cramped. Not fond of MREs either.
