Weird. That almost sounds like the charging on a laser turret or a similar Shinra device; iit’s enough to make Tifa flex into a guard, up until that burst of energy clips the monster’s wing. She can’t argue with the results, especially with how it drops the bird several feet out of the sky.

That’s just about close enough for her to make a jump-

A bigger jump than she was anticipating. Maybe those feathers aren’t just for show, with the amount of lift they’re giving Tifa, and letting her crash a fist into the Zu’s sternum. That should knock the wind out of the bird’s wings… And give Tifa time to look for whatever is pressing the attack.

“Where are you-?” She finds just enough breath to ask that… And then feels gravity start to pull on her.
