It's drier sarcasm than most people can usually wring out of Danse, but if Deacon were 'most people'...well, that hypothetical is far enough from reality that Danse can't even really fathom it, and he has better things to do than try.
His truck would be ideal for this, and he's not really going to refuse just out of spite, but it feels fair and a bit cathartic to leave Deacon in suspense about that rather than jump immediately in with the offer. It would be more effective if his background thoughts weren't already projecting his logistical consideration about where to get the chain and how best to attach it.
