That smile is exactly what Ren likes to see. With any luck - and a good deal of effort - he hopes he’ll get to see more of them in the future. Akechi deserves to have some happiness in his life for once, even if they are stuck in a nightmare world.

“Probably not,” he says, with a smile of his own and a light shrug. “But I like a good challenge.”
