"The moon deal?" At least this is distracting enough that Martin finds himself sinking down towards the ground for a landing. And he does, in fact, know how to land when he's not working himself up over doing it alone.

"And yes," he says with a laugh, "you're in fact the first mutant turtle I've ever met." Were-hyenas, sure, that's unfortunately been a thing he's had to deal with in more ways than one. But not mutant turtles. There's a nod, and he's pleased at the interest, though definitely surprised. "I'm a nuclear physicist, actually. Just started a new teaching position, and...ahhhh..." He trails off in a groan. "This is terrible timing for the beginning of the summer semester."
