It’s true, Ren wasn’t trying to win this one. Reuniting with Akechi is the real prize, after all - who found the other first isn’t as important to him as the two of them simply finding each other. Ren opens his eyes and looks up, barely restraining a delighted smile.

“Long time no see.”

Is he going to keep making that same joke? Possibly. He nods, acknowledging Akechi’s statement.
