Qrow's happy enough to have Ren along for the ride (even if Qrow nearly shoots Arsene the first time the Persona makes his appearance). Qrow's not exactly the master of subtlety, especially when he's not able to freely transform into a bird in order to slink about unnoticed.
So he lets Ren take the lead on investigating, occasionally calling out advice or warnings when his newly acquired cat ears (and their more sensitive hearing) pick up approaching creatures. Qrow's also expecting injuries while they fight their way through the hospital, though his Aura gives him an extra layer of protection against attacks; Ren may catch occasional glimpses of red light flickering over Qrow's skin. He suspects Ren may not have the same advantages, however, and when he is eventually hit Qrow moves forward to provide him some cover.

"You okay, kid?"
