The only advantage Arsène provides in the defense department is a resistance to Curse magic, which is not helping Ren out today. Still, he's been knocked down in battle many times before and will many times again, so at least this isn't an entirely foreign situation. He recovers fairly quickly, kicks up from the floor to his feet like an expert, and nudges his glasses back up his nose.

"I'm good," he says, grinning wildly, and twirls the blade in his hand. "Ready to take this one down?"
