Haha, it's gonna be fun since Apophis will have zero qualms tossing those vibes around just to mess with John, yet scramble to put them away and stick 'em in a pocket the moment Imhotep looks because he's going to pretend to be his BFF Djoser once again. And that sounds interesting! Apophis won't be able to pick up on the Eldritch thing (unless you want him to) since he'll be strongly nerfed, but he might make out that there's something dark going on and maybe that the soul doesn't match the body once he regains some of his powers. (Again only if you're cool with that, ofc.)
