Hello all prospective Drifters, and thank you for taking a look at Route 666! Our next TDM is going up... Well, right now on NOVEMBER 8th! Our Reserves open on NOVEMBER 15th and Applications open on the NOVEMBER 24th through the 30th! We're trying a slightly different schedule this month, to see if it helps people juggle the memes and apps a little bit better!

And in the meanwhile, this post is for potential players to introduce themselves and characters they’re thinking of playing! Get excited, get planning with other folks, talk about potential monsters you’re interested in, etc! We are also opening this up for current players to post ATPs to draw in some new castmates and the like!

Character Name: Aerith Gainsborough
Canon: Final Fantasy 7Rebirth
Character Info: Your original sunshine flower girl that might just be a lot more sad than she ever lets on. She will cheer everyone else on, put all of her feelings last, and has a surprisingly great ability to forgive (anyone not Hojo). She's the last remaining descendant of a race called the Cetra who could actually talk to their Planet and were meant to be guardians of it. Because of this she's been treated as more of an asset (or science experiment by some people) by Some People most of her life.

She's gone on an adventure with her new friends (the first she's really ever had!) to try to save the world from something bigger than what everyone actually thinks. Unfortunately this doesn't go too fantastically for her. But that's okay as long as everyone else has a chance.

PLOTTING!
Monster Ideas: I was thinking more of things that go against her nature just for something to really pick at her dealing with. So my thoughts are:

Vampire: the struggle there feels really intense and also the irony of them being dead is definitely there. There just seems like some potential for this gentle person having to deal with darkness.
Kitsune: again the struggle of wanting to eat liver/hurt people is interesting. She does tease a lot so the trickster compulsion would be interesting. Possession considering Things in canon with another character would be interesting.

Vehicle Ideas: This one I'm not so sure about
Game plans: All sorts of trouble. She might be curious to try to figure out more about the planet here and if she could potentially connect to it the way she did back home. Of course she'll also do whatever she can for castmates
Desired CR: Everything really, just more friends!
Other: I'm terribad at these.

Oh damn. Vampire or Kitsune for Aerith would be really interesting in pushing her outside of her comfort zone. I suppose it really comes to which is more inspiring from an a esthetic standpoint.

I think kitsunes have more going on visually, but both have cool traits you can play with and the undead vibe for Aerith is delightfully mean.

That was exactly my problem. Visually I think kitsune is cooler (and I just read 2 books featuring them haha) but the traits and the thematic aspect of vampire seems more cruel and interesting.

Agreeing with Ves, Aerith would look adorable with a pink mechanical chocobo.

Also loving the irony of her being a vampire here. I know if Cloud finds out she dies, and here she is dead in game, he's going to raise some hell.

Vampire is what I'm leaning just for the irony. There's so many levels, like the fact that she's died and the fact that she's a healer having to harm people now. She might try to hide that she dies from Cloud since Sephiroth is actually here and that feels like it could be Bad

Good call; Cloud's already gone after Sephiroth just for existing. Finding out he kills her... yeah, he won't care if Seph hasn't gone crazy yet. XD

...also, idk why, but Aerith being bite-y seems cute to me. IDK WHY

She'll feel bad for lying to him but feel it's safer all around. Someday someone should tell her it's rude to constantly make decisions on what's best for others lmfao

haha that would be cute! I could see her trying to play it off by trying to act like she just finds it funny, making little teasing jokes about how he looks like he tastes good. while also just being horrified

YES PLEASE LET IT BE TIME FOR THE GAL PALS. Them being besties was one of my favorite parts of the entire game series and especially in Remake/Rebirth.

And Tifa is still driving that clunky Shinra Hauler, which has turned out to be way tougher than it looks. She's also dealing with cerberus traits, and yes that would play off of vampire and kitsune in really fun and interesting ways!

Same!! I loved what Remake/Rebirth and the novel did so so much. One of my biggest heartbreaks in fandom is how they're always basically pitted against each other in ship wars when we all know they'd absolutely hate that themselves.

oh man we'd get some like traditional vampire and kinda werewolf situations from that haha

ATP - PERSONA

Current cast: Goro Akechi and Ren Amamiya (P5R), Akihiko (P3R)
Wanted:

PERSONA 5: The other Phantom Thieves are a big want, with Futaba, Sumire, Haru, and Morgana up there for sure. That being said, we'd adore all of them. As the resident Akechi player, I think CR with all of them has a lot of fun potential! Maruki would also be a delight, as well as Sojiro and Sae.

As for P5 spinoffs, I'd absolutely love Zenkichi and Sophia (though I have not finished P5S yet), Toshiro and Erina, and especially Guernica. She is great.

PERSONA 3: Kay has mentioned really wanting a Mitsuru and Shinjiro in the past! Personally, I'd really love Ken Amada (though he'd have to be Ultimax). All of SEES would be fantastic, with either protagonist being of great interest to Ren's player! I also think Strega and Akechi have interesting CR potential, and I adore Metis and Labrys...

PERSONA 4: Naoto and Yu are definitely up there, along with Kanji! In general, though, we'd love the Investigation Team, Dojima, Adachi, and Sho Minazuki from P4AU would be my rare unicorn of choice. ...Or Marie. Marie's cool, too.

PERSONA 1 AND 2: God, anyone would be delightful, but I'd adore a Jun Kurosu or Reiji Kido for Akechi CR. ...ngl, though, I think the P1 and P2 casts are really fun, rare as they are.

Assorted About: Akechi and Ren have been dating for a handful of months, with Akechi having tried to use his time here to improve as a person. He's very invested in the mysteries and lore. Meanwhile, Ren's been doing his best to make connections while dealing with some rough monster transformation moments and cooking tasty foods.

Kay can probably elaborate on Akihiko more, but he's been around for a while now and is from mid-P3 (before a lot of the Havy Shit, IIRC).

Extra: Morgana could just use his Monabus form as his vehicle. It'd be grand.
