Hi everyone! By request, we are posting the monster CR meme! One of our players noted we’ve got a lot of monsters with pack or similar instincts and mental changes, and it seems like a good time to start working on those. And if you would like to plan for other changes, that is just fine as well.

This meme is for RP planning centered around monster changes, be they physical, mental, or behavioral! Feel free to comment, plot, and plan all sorts of monster shenanigans!

Vincent Valentine | Final Fantasy VII OG | Vampire

Character: Vincent Valentine
Monster: Vampire
Current Traits: At the end of the April Event, 'Weakness to sunlight. Strength and powers are greatly diminished.' becomes active.

Upcoming Traits:

• Sharp Teeth and claws. Capable of cutting through bone.
  
• Urge to drink blood.
  
• Regenerates from drinking blood, can heal from injuries.
  
• Ice magic, can form and shape ice, typically into razor and cutting shapes.
  
• Mist-form. Can become intangible and capable of phasing through solid surfaces up to five feet thick.
  

RP Plans/Desired CR: Quiet friendships, teaching people. Vincent knows A Lot About Guns and can train, repair and probably modify. He will be keeping an eye out for people that can fabricate and be willing to work with obtaining salvage that will allow a workshop to be set up (if it's not already, looking at people like you Donatello, Jayce!). Vincent will be willing to teach if he's approach but like a somewhat feral cat, he might shy away from too much/ make sure the basics are hammered in etc. And if people want to learn gun for the WRONG REASONS (that he determines by his own standards) he will refuse. So lots of CR there. Because of the April event he stockpiled a lot of guns so he can be a go-to for that. If he feels someone is not suited to the weapon (as in, there would be weapons better suited for them) he will refuse to help. (But also feel free to chat about ideas/alternate solutions if this is a thing you want).

Once the blood drinking kicks in, he wills be unhappy about it. But he's willing to attempt to master it or adapt to it but will focus on animals. Of course animals might not always be available so at some point he's going to have to confront the need. I don't have plans to have the trait of being; he's been working at mastery of his other shapeshifting stuff too long. That doesn't mean some mental effect from a moon warp might not apply it some time. It'll be good to have people (some have already approached this) to talk to. He's in a unique situation here. Rather than being mostly along and dealing with what he's going through, here's a whole bunch of people going through largely the same thing.

If you're wondering about ice magic, well. I thought it would be interesting to make a sort of storm/icecaller type. I was thinking about the movie, Dracula Untold where the lad conjures up a bunch of clouds to block out the sun.

...No, not THAT cloud. But also I admit I giggled anyway. Wait.



Car things also welcome! Vincent noogles around in a Fast Trait car that looks like the Munster family car. Shamelessly is tbh but you know. He will also be aiming to make it more covered because UGH SUN but this is what he has to work with right now.

Levi is also very about guns, so I feel if he sees Vincent messing with or scavanging guns he'd be interested. he also pockets all ammo he comes across but would be willing to share!

he's also done some teaching about guns in previous games so if Vincent starts doing that i'd be interested in possibly them teaming up.
or maybe just nerding out. whatever works

Yeah definitely! And with the current scene we're doing, that's definitely part of the stuff Vincent's collecting. So he'll definitely get that vibe. Well, also his only obvious weapon IS a gun.

Vincent is also pocketing ammo but in a handwavy sort of way for their thread I'm sure there'd be some trading of specific caliber for main weapons. Like TCG! XD

Having another person willing to do help with gun teaching would probably be accepted in a grateful sort of way. Vincent is not great with social things and even if Levi is ALSO not great with it at least they can tag team things. I'll be doing a TL somewhere bringing it up so please look out for that!

Levi is not at all good with social stuff, but i head canon he's taught recruits to shoot before so he can do that less awkwardly than just talking to people normally

They've talked a bit about monsterisation but Serph probably would hit up Vincent for something from his stockpile; Serph's guns always seem to have a habit of getting lost whenever he travels to a new world and he's been without one for months now!

Okay well the car is not going to do him any favors in the "Faith teasing him" department but she's decided he's cool people anyway so there will be zero teasing and 100% helping if he starts to have issues with the vampire thirst thing.

in seriousness, FF guns are always batshit crazy and so are Fallout guns, so I'd like to see what kind of unhinged things they come up with in addition to like...some Adult Friendship CR, perchance

This would be delightful. Interesting factz; most FF7 guns are heavily based on iRL earth models making my ENTIRE EFFIN LIFE EASIER for dumb gun shenannigans.


But also there are stupidly delightful wtf ones. and then materia slots. And guns that idk, made of magic metal to lighten them. Or cause damage when people should be immune to them. Surprise some folks. It'll be fun!
