Hi everyone! By request, we are posting the monster CR meme! One of our players noted we’ve got a lot of monsters with pack or similar instincts and mental changes, and it seems like a good time to start working on those. And if you would like to plan for other changes, that is just fine as well.

This meme is for RP planning centered around monster changes, be they physical, mental, or behavioral! Feel free to comment, plot, and plan all sorts of monster shenanigans!

Current Traits: full breakdown of monster details here

his active traits for the latter half of the month/foreseeable future are:
• scales
• four arms
• forked tongue/ability to taste air and read another character's vitals/etc
• cold blooded (but they've been in the desert, so this hasn't been an issue for him, he's feeling great 🐍)

Upcoming Traits:
• venommmm - all he'd have to do is accidentally scratch someone/something to start them tripping out (it's hallucinogenic) but nothing specifies it has to be a bad trip, so. y'know. i'm just saying this could be funny too.

• petrifying gaze - i'm also interested in him discovering this one accidentally, at some point, though it's more likely to get used on enemy monsters than cr. (unless someone wants to make him mad enough to give them a very pointed Look.)

• (almost) full reptile (serpentine) form that can be switched in and out of - he will not have control of this, so i think like a very stressful/dangerous moment could be a good place to throw it in. let him figure out he's now also got terrifying boa constrictor muscles to flex at the same time.

• plant speech - idk i just thought this one would be fun and funny. the plants talk and they're kind of dumb, apparently. he's going to have the weirdest day out collecting herbs at some point.

RP Plans/Desired CR: arcade is pretty skilled at seeming just friendly enough, but never really getting below the surface with people. so more cr willing to push through that and actually get to know him in a meaningful way/become trustworthy enough for him to be genuinely open with would be great. (that said, i am also enjoying his extremely surface level cr where there is an obviously mutual desire to not talk about things ever, so i'm always down for more of that, too.)

a big point in the next month or so will also be him fixing up his truck (especially repainting the doors) so that the back half/the roomy part of the cab are both a nice livable space (by Wasteland standards). i've been thinking about buying it the tough trait or some weaponry or something else in the future, as well, but nothing firm yet.

research buddies! making medicine out of plants was his whole boring job before he got here, and it was not working out, but this place has weird magic plants sometimes so. the hope is renewed, bring him weird plants you find, tell him about useful plants you know about,,, just plant things. and science things.

Wasteland first aid classes are always available. let him teach you how to not die out here, he'll be happier the more people can reliably take care of themselves and each other.
