Hello all prospective Drifters, and thank you for taking a look at Route 666! Our next TDM is going up on JULY 15th our Reserves open on JULY 20th and Applications open on the JULY 25th through the 31st!

And in the meanwhile, this post is for potential players to introduce themselves and characters they’re thinking of playing! Get excited, get planning with other folks, talk about potential monsters you’re interested in, etc! We are also opening this up for current players to post ATPs to draw in some new castmates and the like!

Character Info: Would you believe that the third year honor student and Student Council President is the tactical Queen of the Phantom Theives? A former tool for the higer ups at Shujin Academy, she is now helping liberate hearts and minds along with the other Phantom Thieves.

Monster Ideas: I was thinking of a werewolf mostly for the pack mentality, but I am open to other ideas. Like an elemental or something like that.
Vehicle Ideas: Morotcycle all the way. Not sure if I want it more tough or fast.
Game plans: There will be mass confusion for a while. I do plan on pulling her from after the third semester. I just need to review bigtime.
Desired CR: All the Persona casts. Need all of it.
Other: Typing this mobile at work so it's kinda minimal.

Character Name: Raphael Hamato
Canon: TMNT 2012
Character Info: Just your typical mutant turtle ninja popping out of the woodwork to punch monsters in the face. Which really, is just another day in the life of this boy, given everything he goes through back home.

PLOTTING!
Monster Ideas: I'm really leaning toward Demon or Cerebus for him. I personally love the idea of glowing/slitted eyes for him, as he has the brightest eyes out of all of the brothers of the series. The loyalty compulsion might be fun as he's naturally inclined to protect others, but with it being linked to someone that he's not keen about might be fun to experience. The whole being a ninja thing leads well to some of the sensing abilities in these traits, so that's something that I've been considering.
Vehicle Ideas: Canon throughout every version of the TMNT series leads well to motorcycles, but there's also the Shellraiser in his serious, which is a weaponized van that he'd be used to. They do have the patrol buggies as well - but I don't think these would be that good for the convoy as they're basically just ATVs without protection.
Game plans: This boy has gone against SO MANY HORROR TROPES in his lifetime that it'd just be another monster of the week for him. He'd be weirded out for a little bit but definitely fall into the whole TIME TO SURVIVE mode against the spooky things that are happening around him.
Desired CR: Honestly I love any and all CR. Raph might be prickly at first but he's the protective sort so he could be a teammate, friend, enemy - whatever you're after I can definitely provide. :D I love exploring this stuff so I'm down for literally anything you might think of.
Other: I've been waiting for the TDM and undyingcrow told me about the game so I'm excited to give it a shot to see if I'd be a good fit.

Character Name: Raphael Hamato
Canon: Rise of the TMNT
Character Info: The eldest brother of the quartet! Raph is a sentinel and tank type character whose powers lend well to trying to protect others and while most of his experience is with aliens and other mutants, the horror aspect would be something that he'd scream at, then punch things in the face.

PLOTTING!
Monster Ideas: For THIS Raph, I'm leaning toward Celestial. He's naturally overprotective and the traits there would be fun to explore. I kind of love the idea of this giant snapping turtle mutant with wings flying around to help people. Or even getting to heal people. :D
Vehicle Ideas: In his canon, there's the Turtle Tank, which was designed for his bulk to drive it. I believe it might already exist as I think there's other Rise turtles here, so if doubles aren't allowed, probably one of the Shell Hog motorcycles.
Game plans: This boy gets scared by a small plushie rabbit so he tends to scream a lot. That said, he'd knuckle down and help where need be, since he's not the type to back down, but the fact that he'd be changing might be potentially traumatic for him as he's gone through a transformation during the Krang invasion and he'd not want to do it again.
Desired CR: Raph is the BEST AT HUGS and being a big brother to anyone smaller than him. So he'd easily adopt other 'siblings' if people needed someone to lean on. As stated above, I'm down for anything though!
Other: I think that's it but feel free to chat me up here for either boy. :D

I'm a big fan of both versions of Raph, so I'd be eager to tag with either of them! O: Akechi's already met Rise Donnie and Leo, so he'd be interested either way, but intrigued at any multiverse shenanigans going on.

I could play either, which is why I haven't decided officially. :O Multiverse hijinks could be fun though. I could see either meshing into the game given the premise. As stated, 12 Raph has so much horror hijinks he's gone through, though I'm also reviewing the later seasons as they're more fuzzy in my head. Rise Raph would be full of screaming.

Character Name: Dr. Mohinder Suresh
Canon: Heroes
Character Info: Does this game need more mad scientists? I feel like we could always use more mad scientists. Mohinder doesn't think he qualifies as one, but he kind of does.

He's a genetics professor who took up his murdered father's research into people with superpowers, got himself embroiled in a lot of shady government mess, invented a serum to give himself powers too, transformed into a monster over it and had himself a little villain arc, and now he feels terrible about that but still has super strength so whatever.

Monster Ideas: I'm always torn between reptilian and insectoid for him in monster games, because his canon mutations had elements of both, so I think the three I'd list on the app would be Serpens, Drakonis and Swarm. Usually I love to lean more into the scaly stuff, but I've got some bug ideas that could be fun.
Vehicle Ideas: It's hard to think of anything but his taxi, since he gets into so many shenanigans with it, but he'd also kind of hate it and I'm not sure what quality it would have. Possibly fast, when it's not getting stuck in NYC traffic.

Game plans:

Mohinder is so good at spooky road trips. He has taken them with serial killers before and everything. The only new thing for him would be combining the spooky road trip and the monster transformation, because canonically those were a couple seasons apart.

I've leaned into the "what have I done" angst with him in games before, and would like to do less of that and keep things more fun with him this time, but he'd be fascinated by the body-horror minutiae of everyone's transformations (though still traumatized by his own) and nosily, shamelessly eager to study them and document them.

He also fights well even though he doesn't like having to, so I'd probably be throwing him at a lot of combat for fun.

Desired CR: Friends who don't mind him being a bit prickly and sarcastic, people willing to let him ask invasive questions and take various samples to study under a microscope, other sciencey types, etc. I'm flexible!

oh gosh what a blast from the past! heroes is such a fun show. i think mohinder would be a fab addition here.

i don’t have any castmates to offer but ren’s pretty good at befriending prickly and sarcastic people. he has previously been a test subject in some back-alley clinical trials, so he can probably be convinced to provide some samples, if it’s for a good cause.

Haha, thanks! I love inspiring nostalgia with him. And that sounds like exactly the kind of thing Mohinder would zero in on, so it could be great!

Plus, if Ren is a Celestial, that's a monster type that seems to line up more than others with the kind of things that would have been powers in Mohinder's world, so he'd definitely want to study it.

ATP - PERSONA

Fandom: Persona Series
Current cast: Akechi, Ren (P5); Akihiko, Kotone (P3)
Wanted: For Persona 5, the other Phantom Thieves (including Sumire), Maruki, Sae, Sojiro, and I'd adore Guernica from Tactica's DLC. Also very open to other P5 spinoff characters for P5, such as Toshiro, Erina, Sophia, and Zenkichi, though I've only gotten partway into Strikers (and Ren's player still needs to play both).

For P5X characters, we are open to it for maximum shenanigans.

As far as Persona 3, the other SEES members, with a specific interest in Mitsuru and Shinji from Akihiko's player and Ken Amada from me (though he'd probably have to be the Ultimax version). Kotone's player is up to castmates in general, and I personally think Ryoji, Metis, and Chidori would all be rad as far as non-SEES characters go.

For Persona 4, we'd love to see Yu Narukami and Naoto in particular, but we love the Investigation Team in general, and Adachi and Dojima would also be quite fun. Sho and Labrys from Ultimax would also be a treat!

As for Persona 1 and 2, I love those casts to bits and would be happy to see them! Standouts for me personally are Jun, Maya, Reiji, and Tatsuya, but the entire P1 and P2 crews are a delight.
Assorted About: While I can't speak for what's going on with Akihiko, Akechi has been here since the beginning and has spent his time here trying to be a better person, all while making genuine connections and gathering information on this world and their circumstances. He and Ren have a nebulous relationship of a sort that they're still figuring out, as notions of love are very confusing and intimidating to him.

Ren hasn't been here long, but has been trying to work on cooking and gathering supplies to make curry, and he's been making new bonds and trying his best to help Akechi work through his guilt and self-loathing. Ren has ceded leadership to him here, though Akechi wouldn't impose that on any Phantom Thieves, as he hardly thinks it's right in light of his crimes.

Both Ren and Akechi have befriended Kotone, whose bubbly positivity has really been a breath of fresh air. Wild Card buddies unite!
Extra: Someone please bring Morgana. It'd be so perfect.

anyway YES HELLO, seconding all of the above! please bring us phantom thieves and inabans and sees people! even though i haven’t played them, i’m 100% down to clown with anyone from strikers/tactica/p5x, because timeline shenanigans are super fun.

as mentioned above, ren hasn’t been here long but he’s doing what he can to make himself useful, picking up all the part-time jobs. he recently got cleansing/healing magic from his monster traits (celestial/angel) so i’ll have him start leaning into being a bit of a minor healer more. he’s not showing any physical changes yet, but those are on the way. he’ll be looking to learn how to tailor clothes as well, since it seems to be a skill that’s quite in demand.

he’s … not really actively working on the “overly self-sacrificing” thing yet, and he’s still got some lingering unresolved badfeels about how his friends kinda all forgot about him back in january, but i expect those will come up eventually too.

oh, ren and akechi have a running monthly duel rematch too, because neither of them can be normal about each other. c: please come point and laugh/sigh and roll your eyes at them.

(pls pls pls bring us a yu, i have a Need for all-wild card team hijinks)

ATP - Buffyverse!

Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel
Current cast: Just Faith here, LCW-ing.
Wanted: Buffy Any and all castmates would be cool, for sure! The whole reason I came to R666 is because it was such a cool concept for a game and it meshed so well with Buffyverse tonally that I knew it would be a good time. Obviously Buffy some castmates would have a more fun dynamic with Faith because of shared history, and I know Buffy some are more popular than others to begin with, but Buffy anybody would be cool.

Any of the OG Scooby gang, like Buffy it would be cool to throw her at a Giles because I know they kinda get a second chance in the comics, or maybe Buffy Obviously a Wesley would be fun as well just because their dynamic in Angel S4 was great, also Buffy Spike and Faith had a neat vibe and I know everybody loves that dude, or, I dunno, a Buffy hell, even somebody Faith never met- it'd still be fun to get more faces from the canon. PLS BRING ME A BUFFY

Assorted About: Faith's a LCW, and lately she's been turning into a little bit of a zombie corpse girl, possibly with detachable head. She's not a fan. At least she's learning some practical skills and has (somehow) made some friends, but damn she'd love to see a familiar face.

Okay maybe she wouldn't like to see all of them She wouldn't enjoy a Buffy as much as I would but still.

EMP - Another Fallout Protag

Character Info: The protagonist from Fallout 2 AKA the Chosen One! He was supposed to just find a GECK and become the leader of his tribe but ended up getting involved in the hot mess that is wasteland politics. Got married (not so willingly), collected a bunch of companions along the way, and took down the Enclave's Oilrig and saved the day. He's full of pop culture references and impulsiveness. Chaotic good to the max.

Monster Ideas: No idea just yet! But I'm looking into it.
Vehicle Ideas: Probably something that's close to his Highwayman.
Game plans: He's already been on a road trip so for him it'll be Fallout 2 the sequel. He's post-game so he's slightly more responsible and mature, but he still needs a lot of learning and experience to be the leader he wants to be one day. I'd really like for him to make more friendships and connections and emotionally mature. He's terrible with his emotions and getting close to others.

Desired CR: Connections that make him grow and emotionally mature, those that see past his bravado and see his insecurities and that he has a good heart. He's up for a good time whether it be from partying, substances, hunting, or fighting.

Monster Ideas: Mainly eyeing up infernal, because a devilish Astarion sounds like something I'd love and he'd hate <3 Vampire and Fae are my second two. Horns, new skin and a tail
Vehicle Ideas: Up for whatever, mechanical horse would likely be most practical but I think Astarion would be a little hellion with a motorcycle or sports car
Game plans: How will your character react to being on a spooky roadtrip, and what sort of trouble might they get into? Honestly, probably not the weirdest thing that's happened to Astarion in the last few weeks. Though to him it may pose a problem with getting a brainworm out of his brain as fast as possible
Desired CR: What are some relationships you would like to build with you character? Platonic and Rivalries are what im most open to, but I'm down for whatever, he's most likely to get along with people who like to stir up trouble and cause a little chaos!
